GIS Day

GIS Day, short for Geographic Information Systems Day, is a worldwide annual event that celebrates the use and advancements in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology.

The Department of Geographical Sciences commemorates GIS Day every year with an Open House in November. Stayed tuned for details about GIS Day 2025.

High school students are invited to an array of activities, including a lecture, a campus tour, lunch at a dining hall and much more. See last year's program.
