Catherine has broad interest ranging from agriculture remote sensing, food security to climate change. She is currently in working Eastern and West Africa on agriculture monitoring, climate, and disaster risk reduction. Catherine leads various capacity development activities focusing on the integration of Earth of Observations in national agencies. Catherine pioneered the repurposing of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from agricultural monitoring, to the survey of major refugee camps in her native Uganda.
