Undergraduate Research Symposium
To recognize and share undergraduate student research, the Department of Geographical Sciences sponsors an Undergraduate Research Symposium at the end of each semester. Undergraduate researchers and interns present their findings in a poster/presentation format.
Students enrolled in independent studies (GEOG398 or GEOG498), internships (GEOG384 or GEOG385) or honors (GEOG396 and GEOG397) are eligible to present at the Undergraduate Research Symposium.
Students present on their research or internship projects using a PowerPoint or poster format. Each presentation should be a 3-5 minute oral summary of the student's research or internship experience. The top two presenters will be awarded cash prizes. For more details about the content and format of the poster and presentation for the symposium, please refer to the attachments below or contact the Geographical Sciences Advising Office.
