Proposal Templates and Forms

These documents are updated regularly to reflect the most recent UMD rates and policies:

Budget Template: This excel spreadsheet is the standard 3-year department template for proposal submissions.

Budget Justification: This is the standard department template including currently accepted descriptions of most items included in proposal budgets. Please read explanations and notations.

Off Campus Cost Worksheet: This provides tables for calculating costs including travel, equipment, compops and rent. In many cases, tables can be cut and pasted from this cost workshop into the justification.

Cover Sheet: The newest template provided- designed to replace sticky tabs, memos and follow-up emails. This gives a simple but standard format to summarize information for reviewers on the department, college and university level.
