Tay Yi Ting
Bio
Yi Ting Tay is a PHD student in the Geographical Sciences Program at University of Maryland College Park. She graduated with Distinction from MSc Ecological Economics from the University of Leeds and holds a First-Class Honours BSc in Economics and International Economics from the University of Nottingham Malaysia. Her Master’s thesis examined Malaysia’s transition toward a sustainable electricity sector by 2050, utilising the LEAP modelling framework to evaluate the impact of renewable energy adoption, subsidy reforms and emerging technologies such as CCUS.
Yi Ting served as a Research Analyst with the World Bank Group, supporting the Macroeconomics, Trade and Investment team in Malaysia. Her work focuses on macroeconomics trends and trade policy.
