Price, Julie

Bio

Julie Price is a PhD student in Dr. Meredith Gore's lab. She aspires to study unregulated artisanal and small-scale gold mining in agricultural regions, examining how institutional drivers and detection, monitoring, tracking and assessment efforts (or their absence) shape impacts on affected communities' water, soil, lives, and livelihoods (particularly among vulnerable populations) in the present, informed by the past, and with future generations in view.
