Yunting Song is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Geographical Sciences at the University of Maryland, College Park. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Remote Sensing Science and Technology from Wuhan University in 2018. Her research interests include the efficient representation and generation of terrain models, terrain analysis based on hierarchical data structures, and the extension of those algorithms to distributed computing frameworks. She is also interested in applying those techniques to different applications, including bathymetric modeling and sea ice topography study.
