  • Master of Professional Studies in Geospatial Intelligence - New For Fall 2017!
GEOINT

The Center for Geospatial Information Science (CGIS) at the University of Maryland is pleased to announce the launch of a Master of Professional Studies in Geospatial Intelligence (MPS GEOINT).  The Geospatial Intelligence program provides workforce-focused technical training that gives graduates the skills and expertise to lead new initiatives in the rapidly shifting landscape of GEOINT applications, data collection systems, analytic methods, and mission support.

The MPS GEOINT program encompasses a 30-credit course structure comprised of five core and five elective courses that can be taken in a flexible schedule. The entire MPS degree can be completed in as little as 15 months for full-time registrants.

The CGIS is also offering a Graduate Certificate in Professional Studies in Geospatial Intelligence (GCPS GEOINT) that entails 12 credits based on four courses. The credits earned for a GCPS GEOINT can be transferred towards the MPS GEOINT.

Either program may be taken on a full-time or part-time basis, and may be taken fully online or on campus. Courses are offered during evenings and are scheduled in 12-week quarter terms to accommodate working professionals.

The application deadline for admission in Fall 2017 is July 27. We are also accepting applications for Spring 2018. Full details regarding the programs are available at http://ter.ps/geoint or contact Dr. Ruibo Han at @email.
