Leila De Floriani Voted IEEE Computer Society Division V Director for 2025
IEEE Leader and Advocate for Diversity Set to Begin Term in January
Professor Leila De Floriani, also director of Graduate Studies, has been elected as the IEEE Computer Society’s IEEE Division V Director. De Floriani will begin her term as Division V Director on Jan, 1, 2025.
De Floriani brings extensive leadership experience to this role. She served as the 2020 President of the IEEE Computer Society and is currently the IEEE Division VIII Director for 2023-24, as well as a member of the IEEE Board of Directors and the IEEE Assembly. She is the founding Chair of the IEEE Computer Society Diversity and Inclusion Committee and has actively contributed to several IEEE initiatives, including serving as a member of the IEEE Conferences Committee (2021-23) and the IEEE Publications Committee.
