Inbal Becker-Reshef wins the Provost's Excellence Award for Professional Track Faculty for her outstanding contributions and accomplishments in research.

In the Fall of 2015, the Provost initiated the annual Excellence Awards for Professional Track (PTK) Faculty. Winners are recognized for their consistently excellent contributions in one of the three core areas of academic activity: Excellence in Teaching; Excellence in Research and Excellence in Service. This year, Inbal Becker- Reshef from Geographical Sciences received the Provosts Award for Excellence in Research. Theselection committee remarked on her productivity and her international scientific leadership in developing global monitoring reports on the assessment of agricultural conditions. They were also impressed that she has served as Principal Investigator on numerous agricultural monitoring related grants from a diverse range of funders and manages a large research team. The Provost noted Inbal’s recent success in winning a highly competitive NASA award to establish a new Applied Sciences Program on Agriculture and Food Security. These along with her many other accomplishments, deserve the highest recognition. Congratulations to Inbal, her research team and colleagues for helping to make a vibrant and productive Research Faculty and achieving excellence in their research.
