Get Involved: Geography Club Activities This Fall

The Geography Club is back for another exciting semester! Join us for engaging conversations, fun activities and opportunities to connect with fellow geography students.

Fall' 26 Meeting Schedule

All meetings are held in the Undergraduate Lounge (LeFrak 1150) at 7 p.m., unless otherwise noted, on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, Sept. 8: Intro Meeting, Geoguessr, Seterra
    • Introductions, talks about weekend trips, play some fun games
  • Tuesday, Sept. 22: Maryland 2050: Design the Future You Want to Live In and Jeopardy
    • Maryland 2050: Join us between 3 and 7 p.m. in the Undergraduate Lounge to map the Maryland of your dreams with Dr. Naijun Zhou. Register here.
    • Jeopardy: Stay after 7 p.m. for this group Jeopardy night centered around all thing Geography
  • Tuesday, Oct. 6: Presentation Night
    • People make presentations on anything Geography related
  • Tuesday, Oct. 20: Guest Speaker
    • No guest speakers selected as of yet
  • Tuesday, Nov. 3: Geoguessr Tournament
    • Our annual Geoguessr tournament
  • Tuesday, Nov. 17: Humanitarian Mapping Day
    • Using open street map to help developing countries map certain landmarks
  • Tuesday, Dec. 1: Funny Mapping Night
    • A DIY map making night where people make joke maps about really interesting topics
