Dr. Belen Franch wins the NASA Honor Award for Early Career Public Achievement.
The NASA Honor Awards are the most prestigious awards of the Agency. They are approved by the Administrator and presented to a number of carefully selected individuals and groups of individuals, both Government and non-Government, who have distinguished themselves by making outstanding contributions to the NASA's mission. The Early Career Public Achievement medal is awarded to any non-Government employee for unusual and significant performance during the first 10 years of an individual's early career in support of the Agency.
This year, Belen Franch, a professor at the Department of Geographical Sciences and science collaborator at NASA GSFC, received the NASA Early Career Public Achievement medal. The award remarks her exceptional achievement in NASA Earth Observations contributing to a better understanding of the Earth system and its agricultural resources.
