Bio
Ms. Diana Botchway Frimpong is a Faculty Specialist at the University of Maryland/NASA Harvest with an M.S. in Urban Forestry and Natural Resource Management and a Bachelor's degree in Geography and Resource Development. Ms. Frimpong focuses on employing geospatial technology and data analytics to solve environmental-related problems. She has extensive experience using GIS and remote sensing applications, as well as comprehensive research and data analytic skills. She works closely and under the supervision of Dr. Catherine Nakalembe. She has assisted in the development of a scalable sampling methodology for yield estimation piloted in Kenya, however applicable in all geographies, completed a 40-Year Remote Sensing Analysis of Spatiotemporal Temperature and Rainfall Patterns in Senegal and has supported the implementation of multiple data collection and crop monitoring training projects both in East and West Africa within the NASA Harvest group.
