Science Policy Group: UMD Spring Advocacy Week

The Science Policy Group at UMD is a University of Maryland student organization aiming to connect aspiring scientists and policymakers to facilitate evidence-based decision making.

The Science Policy Group at UMD cordially invites the UMD community to join its inaugural Advocacy Week training sessions on Feb. 18 to 26, culminating in a Congressional Visit Day on Feb. 26 to advocate for federal support for the sciences.

While the Visit Day itself is limited to participants who filled out an earlier application, the training sessions and the post-CVD Happy Hour on the Hill are open to everyone who have stakes in science policy and funding.

The training sessions will feature speakers from the American Geophysical Union, American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the UMD Government Relations Office.
