Online Training on Remote Sensing for Climate-Sensitive Infectious Diseases With Tatiana Loboda
NASA’s Applied Remote Sensing Training Program (ARSET) is hosting an online training series: Remote Sensing for Climate-Sensitive Infectious Diseases.
This free, two-part training introduces general approaches for applying satellite remote sensing data to the study and forecasting of climate-sensitive infectious diseases.
Part 1 will be led by Professor Tatiana Loboda, chair of the Department of Geographical Sciences, and will provide an overview of how remote sensing can be used to study these critical health challenges. This session will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. EDT (UTC-4) on Tuesday, Oct. 7.
Part 2 will highlight a case study demonstrating the application of these methods and will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. EDT (UTC-4) on Thursday, Oct. 9, feauring Professor Michael Wimberly from Department of Geography and Environmental Sustainability at the University of Oklahoma.
