GEOG iwill host a series of events that week including playtime with puppies, laughing for stress release, enjoying sweet treats and immersing ourselves in nature for Graduate Student Appreciation Week.

9-9:30am, coffee, breakfast, and icebreaker warm up in 325 RR.

9:30-10am: Laughing yoga session in 325 RR or join over zoom. What is laughing yoga? (https://www.cathysclub.com/) Laughter Yoga is simple and profound. An exercise routine and complete well-being workout. Developed by a medical doctor from India Dr. Madan Kataria (1995). Laughter yoga is not about fancy pants or poses. It is laughter for no reason to encourage a sense of child-like play and feeling of joy. The yoga part is all about the deep breathing. The laughing stretches various muscles in your chest, abdomen, neck & shoulders. 10-15 minutes of sustained belly laughter can be equivalent to 30 minutes of row/

- 12-1pm Nurture Nature walk with Meg Smolinski, Outreach Coordinator the University of Maryland Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. The walk includes "a guided hike and mindfulness exercise" through the Community Learning Garden Located between the Eppley Recreation Center and the School of Public Health (meet at Lefrak 1129 at 11:15am to walk over together, or see you there) and through Hillcock Wood.
