Department Collaborations with China

With a reputation as one of the top U.S. Geography Departments, the Department of Geographical Sciences (DGS) at the University of Maryland has developed a series of substantial collaborations with China over the past 15 years.  Areas of collaboration include earth system science, remote sensing, land cover and land use change, global monitoring of forest and agriculture, disaster monitoring, earth observations, climate and global change.
