Bright Futures Scholarship

  • Awards $250-$1250 for unpaid summer internships with a non-profit or government agency
  • Only eligible for undergraduate students (freshmen, sophomores, or juniors)

Critical Language Scholarship

  • Credit for one year of language credit can be received upon completion of program
  • Travel, tuition, housing, and stipend provided

Rangel International Affairs Summer Program

  • 6 week summer program at Howard University (tuition, travel, room and board covered, plus a stipend)
  • 2 for-credit courses (History of U.S. Foreign Relations and Political Economy) for six credit hours, and a non-credit seminar on professional writing

Public Policy and International Affairs Junior Summer Institutes

  • 7 week summer program preparing students for graduate programs in public and international affairs
  • Offered at Carnegie Mellon University, Princeton University, UC Berkeley, University of Michigan, and University of Minnesota
  • Full tuition at a PPIA Junior Summer Institute, housing, and up to $1,500 stipend

NOAA Hollings Scholarship

  • 10 week paid summer internship at a NOAA facility and up to $9,500 scholarship for two years
  • Opportunity for students to get hands-on, practical experience in NOAA-related science, research, technology, policy, management, and education activities
  • Must apply as a Sophomore (2nd year student) or a full time 3rd year student in a 5-year undergrad program
