Dr. Janet Nackoney has returned from co-leading the 3rd Symposium of the African Primatological Consortium for Conservation (APCC) from 25-27 August 2019 in Addis-Ababa, Ethiopia. The title of the symposium was "Improving the Conservation of African Primates." The purpose of the APCC is to build capacity for African researchers engaged in the conservation of primates and great apes in Africa. Janet serves as a Technical Advisor to the APCC and leads trainings on GIS, GPS data collection, SMART data collection, and spatial analysis. Her participation in the symposium was funded by Kyoto University in Japan.
