I'm a Postdoc at Department of Geographical Sciences, University of Maryland, with a joint research scientist at NASA Goddard. Before working in UMD, I was a Postdoc working at Swiss Federal Research Institute WSL, Switzerland for three years (2014-2017). I received my PhD in Nanjing University, China in 2013.
I'm a biogeochemical modeler who focuses on the biophysical and biogeochemical interactions between terrestrial ecosystems and the atmosphere. While my research questions are quite varied, a common theme is understanding the effect of greenhouse gas methane, in the role of recent, past, and future climate, and how global wetlands act in the global methane cycle. To answer these questions, I use simulations (e.g. terrestrial ecosystem models, Earth System models) and observations (e.g. remote sensing).
